Minu - Comprehensive Financial Platform Migration

The Challenge

Minu, a leading financial technology platform in Mexico that provides salary advances and financial benefits to employees through corporate partnerships, faced critical limitations with their existing website that were hindering their growth and market positioning. As a company operating in the competitive fintech space, they needed a digital presence that could effectively communicate their value proposition while supporting their ambitious growth objectives.

The primary challenge was a complete website migration driven by several critical business needs. Minu's existing platform lacked the flexibility, performance, and modern user experience necessary to compete effectively in the Mexican financial services market. Their current website failed to showcase the comprehensive range of services they offered, from salary on demand to food and fuel vouchers, and didn't effectively communicate the benefits to both employees and employers.

A crucial operational challenge was the marketing team's dependency on the development team for website updates and iterations. The existing platform created significant bottlenecks, with long response times for even simple changes, which severely limited the marketing team's ability to respond quickly to market opportunities and execute campaigns effectively. This dependency was hampering their growth potential and operational efficiency.

Additionally, Minu was struggling with search engine visibility. In a market where companies are actively searching for employee benefit solutions, poor SEO performance was directly impacting their ability to generate qualified leads and establish themselves as a market leader in the salary advance sector.

Minu needed a complete digital transformation that would position them as the leading financial benefits platform in Mexico while empowering their marketing team with operational independence and providing the foundation for scalable growth.

The Solution

Our approach was to execute a comprehensive website migration and optimization strategy using Webflow, leveraging the Client First framework to ensure scalability and maintainability. The project was specifically designed to solve the operational dependency issues by empowering Minu's marketing team with autonomous content management capabilities, while also migrating existing content, enhancing user experience, and implementing technical infrastructure to support their market positioning goals.

The project was executed across multiple phases, with my role evolving from developer and technical lead to project manager, and finally to technical advisor:

Migration Strategy and Architecture

The migration began with a thorough analysis of Minu's existing website structure and content, with a specific focus on identifying opportunities to empower their marketing team with autonomous content management capabilities. We developed a comprehensive plan to not only recreate their existing pages but to enhance and optimize each section for better user experience and search engine performance, while eliminating the operational bottlenecks that were limiting their marketing agility.

Using Webflow's powerful CMS and the Client First framework, we built a scalable architecture that would support Minu's growth while ensuring intuitive content management for their marketing team. The Client First methodology provided a solid foundation for component-based development and consistent design patterns throughout the site, enabling non-technical team members to make updates confidently without requiring development support.

We rebuilt all of Minu's existing pages with enhanced functionality and improved user experience:

Core Service Pages:

SEO Technical Implementation

A critical component of the project was implementing the technical infrastructure to support Minu's SEO positioning in the Mexican market. My role focused on the technical development and implementation aspects:

Technical SEO Infrastructure:

  • Optimized site structure and URL architecture development
  • Enhanced page loading speeds and Core Web Vitals optimization
  • Mobile-first responsive design implementation
  • Schema markup implementation for better search engine understanding
  • Blog system development to support content marketing initiatives

  • Implementation of meta tag and SEO field management in Webflow CMS
  • Development of internal linking structure and navigation
  • Creation of SEO-friendly URL structures and redirects

Strategic Tool Development:

  • Custom ISR (Income Tax) calculator development for lead generation
  • Landing page templates for promotional content (Ebooks, Webinars)

Salesforce Integration and CRM Optimization

One of the most critical aspects of the project was integrating Webflow forms with Minu's existing Salesforce CRM system through Zapier. This integration required:

Integration Architecture:

  • Seamless form submission flow from Webflow to Salesforce
  • Custom field mapping for comprehensive lead data capture

Salesforce Optimization:

  • Comprehensive audit of existing duplication rules in Salesforce
  • Implementation of improved data validation and deduplication strategies

This integration ensured that all website leads would automatically flow into Minu's sales pipeline without manual intervention, significantly improving their lead management efficiency.

Analytics and Measurement Implementation

As part of my initial development responsibilities, I implemented a comprehensive analytics infrastructure to support Minu's growth objectives and provide actionable insights:

Google Analytics 4 Initial Setup:

  • Complete GA4 property configuration and implementation
  • Custom event tracking implementation for key user interactions throughout the website

Google Tag Manager Implementation:

  • Centralized tag management system setup for marketing tools
  • Advanced event tracking implementation for comprehensive user behavior analysis
  • Custom triggers and variables for enhanced data collection

Website Event Tracking:

  • Implementation of tracking for all critical user interactions (form submissions, downloads, page engagement)
  • Custom event tracking for content engagement (blog reading, resource downloads)

The new architecture made it easier for potential corporate clients to understand the benefits of partnering with Minu for employee financial benefits.

Improved Lead Generation: The Salesforce integration and optimized contact forms, combined with the duplication rule improvements, significantly enhanced Minu's lead management capabilities. The seamless flow from website inquiry to CRM entry eliminated manual data entry errors and ensured no potential clients were lost in the process.

SEO Technical Foundation: The technical SEO infrastructure and optimized website architecture provided Minu with a solid foundation for improved search engine visibility in the competitive Mexican fintech market. The custom ISR calculator became a valuable lead generation tool while establishing Minu's expertise in financial services.

Analytics-Driven Insights: The Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager implementation provided Minu's team with detailed insights into user behavior, conversion patterns, and marketing campaign performance, enabling data-driven decision making for continued growth.

Marketing Team Independence: The most significant operational improvement was the elimination of development dependencies for the marketing team. The new Webflow-based system empowered marketing team members to autonomously update content, create new pages, publish blog posts, and iterate on promotional campaigns without requiring engineering support. This transformation reduced response times from weeks to hours, dramatically improving their ability to execute marketing strategies and respond to market opportunities.

Scalable Content Management: The combination of Webflow CMS, Client First framework, and Finsweet solutions created a robust content management system that empowered Minu's team to maintain and expand their website content independently while maintaining design consistency and performance standards.

Client Satisfaction and Project Success: The Minu team was extremely pleased with the project outcomes and the transformation achieved through the website migration. The combination of improved operational efficiency, enhanced user experience, and robust technical infrastructure exceeded their expectations and provided them with the competitive digital foundation they needed.

The project successfully established Minu as a technology-forward financial platform ready to compete effectively in the Mexican market, with the infrastructure and optimization necessary to support their continued growth and market leadership aspirations.
